NOVA runs the following courses:
- ICT for help with using computers
- Numeracy to improve maths skills
- Literacy for reading and writing
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for people whose first language is not English

IT courses
- Run for 2 ½ days per week for a period of 1 month
- The courses are suitable for those who need to build a solid understanding of all the basic uses of the computer including the Internet and Microsoft Office packages
- Learners work towards recognised qualifications
- The tutors are extremely patient and explain everything from how to turn the computer on and the names of its key components to how to enter simple formulas on Excel
Basic Skills courses
- Numeracy and Literacy run for around 12 weeks – inline with the public sector school terms. Learners can study for one or more terms as is appropriate for them
- The courses are suitable for anyone who feels they would like to improve their basic level of skills and has not gained a GCSE level qualification in English or Maths
- Learners can work towards achievable targets and their individual goals from the most elementary level to Level 2
- We offer the National Tests in Numeracy and Literacy which are recognised by employers and colleges as the equivalent to GCSE English and Maths. All courses are freel
ESOL
- ESOL courses run for about 12 weeks
- Learners are screened and assessed to find the most suitable course
- Courses are suitable for anyone who is interested in learning English as a second language
- All levels of ability are welcome
