NOVA is a voluntary community organisation and registered charity that has been helping local people to build skills and confidence since 1983.

NOVA offers a range of services including:

• Basic accredited courses in Computers, Maths and English in a warm and friendly environment
• Information, advice and guidance to progress into work including help with writing CVs and job applications

We target:

• Those who have missed out on educational opportunities
• Women retuning to work
• Long-term unemployed
• Minority ethnic groups and migrant and refugee communities

Each year NOVA new opportunities provides a vital stepping stone for over 1000 disadvantaged residents of North Kensington and the surrounding deprived areas who are unable to access mainstream services and lack the skills and confidence to progress. Many of our users are unemployed, economically inactive or trapped in low-paid work.

NOVA facilitates access to institutions and services, supporting our users into further education and employment by offering quality advice and guidance, basic skills tuition and volunteering opportunities. NOVA brings about real and lasting change in people's lives by addressing each and every learner as an individual and seeking out ways to best support that person to reach their goals.

NOVA is run by a close dedicated team who share the same belief in creating a non-judgemental, positive atmosphere for people to work in. We are always happy to see new faces and welcome back old ones. We seek to address the disadvantages our users face by providing a caring environment; and supporting them towards progression into meaningful employment, volunteering and further education.
